Bea Sexy in the City

Hot, unsleepable nights are becoming wayyy too regular for my own good! Instead of tossing and turning all night I decided to finish little things that I've been meaning to get on for some time. My goal tonight was to finalize dinner plans and create the invitation for our small girl's night coming up in a little over two weeks. It feels good to finally be able to do something for my girl friend in honour of her engagement. :) Love her so much. <3

I like to believe that I have many talents and can tackle anything that's thrown at me, but when it comes down to it, I have a very passive take on my own life. Not cool. I talk about wanting to do this, do that but what do I do to make it happen? Don't just talk about dreams. Make them come true. What do I think makes a person successful? Vision, motivation, a proactive personality, good stress management and continuous self improvement are some words that come to mind. Small changes can help boost self confidence, something that everyone will need to help them along their way.



Make it YOUR goal to accomplish ONE thing a day. No matter how small.

Little things I want to do:

• go kayaking @ deep cove a


• go zip lining @ whistler or grouse


• finally clean my room


• paint my walls & redecorate the home


• create another decor piece for my home


• come up with a name for my solo bartending business


• figure out what I want for my business card!


• finish reading the books I started

This summer I will (FINALLY):

• get my real estate license


• get my bike license


• design and sew together a piece that i would actually wear!


• find that perfect homemade cake & icing recipe


• create a piece of jewellry


• plant some herbs: basil, chives, sage to name a few

Maybe I can't complete everything before the end of summer, but I can sure as hell get started.

My Get Rich (Not-So) Fast Idea

With the recent recession (and the last remaining effects of it), it seems that many more people were drinking up simply because they were feeling down. After observing the industry for the past one and a half years, I see a potential to make a decent living from being a bartender, and that knowledge alone constantly sparks ideas in my mind. It says, "I should break off and go solo!" The only problem I find with charging a ridiculously high rate and doing house parties on my own is there is an additional risk geared towards my safety. Working for a company guarantees my safety in a major way. I work with the same staff and security so I feel comfortable working and no one can ever get especially close to me, but that comfort can go to hell if I start "freelancing" as some like to call it. Plus there is that question of travelling. Some tell me it would be difficult to find clientelle, but seeing as how I am currently booked 3-6 nights a week, that doesn't particularly concern me.

Good idea? Bad idea? How much would you charge for a night? I really don't know..

Grand Opening: Sephora in Vancouver!

So the grand opening of Sephora is officially tomorrow (July 10th) at 10 am sharp! today they are having a private party for a select few but otherwise the general public can do nothing but drool at the wonders they have inside! set your alarm ladies! it's going to be crazy!

** a few of my friends stopped by to pick up a few pretty things only to find themselves surrendering their wallets to the temple of make-me-gorgeousness! i still have yet to visit the store but i think i'll wait for the madness to die down! ;) i walked by it today and it was still too packed for me to approach! word has it that they're already sold out of a few items though! get your goodies quick!
