Home Remedy: Baking Soda Face Mask

So lately my skin has been looking extremely dull and I've been craving a facial, or at the bare minimum, one of those mud masks in a jar. Being the lazy girl I am, I have yet to book an appointment at the spa or even go to the local store to pick up a jar of seaweed. In any case, I've been hearing all about this low budget skin care method and after reading some reviews on it I decided that now would probably be the best time to try it out. Why? My skin is completely stressed out from a poor diet, lack of sleep, and lack of care overall. I haven't been washing my make up off religiously lately simply because I've been passing out while I've been up all night working on projects and studying for my midterms this week.

Many girls claim that this gently exfoliates your skin, leaving it feeling extremely soft and smooth. Some even say that it takes care of the blackheads and build up from make up as well. I have it on right now and so far, it stings. I can feel it hardening and to be honest I really can't wait to take it off and check out the results.

If you're wanting to give it a shot, the ingredients are simple. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and a little bit of water (just enough to make a paste). Spread all over the face (avoiding the eyes because it does burn!) and wait for about 15 minutes before washing it off. Doing this once a week should help. Everyone's skin type is different however, so if it isn't right for you, don't force it!
