So lately my skin has been looking extremely dull and I've been craving a facial, or at the bare minimum, one of those mud masks in a jar. Being the lazy girl I am, I have yet to book an appointment at the spa or even go to the local store to pick up a jar of seaweed. In any case, I've been hearing all about this low budget skin care method and after reading some reviews on it I decided that now would probably be the best time to try it out. Why? My skin is completely stressed out from a poor diet, lack of sleep, and lack of care overall. I haven't been washing my make up off religiously lately simply because I've been passing out while I've been up all night working on projects and studying for my midterms this week.
Many girls claim that this gently exfoliates your skin, leaving it feeling extremely soft and smooth. Some even say that it takes care of the blackheads and build up from make up as well. I have it on right now and so far, it stings. I can feel it hardening and to be honest I really can't wait to take it off and check out the results.
If you're wanting to give it a shot, the ingredients are simple. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and a little bit of water (just enough to make a paste). Spread all over the face (avoiding the eyes because it does burn!) and wait for about 15 minutes before washing it off. Doing this once a week should help. Everyone's skin type is different however, so if it isn't right for you, don't force it!

reMix my Drink
so I guess it would be a good time to announce that as of the 7th of this month, I'm a licensed bartender. Yes, I was previously mixing and serving without a license but I don't think it's actually required to do so, is it? :) Anyway, I picked up a shaker set from Fine Art, and I'm super eager to start remixing their recipes. :) My boyfriend's birthday is coming up so I think I'll start there! I just hope he likes it. <3

Pop Champagne
It's almost my birthday!! and what am I doing?? Heading over to the *new* Joey's at Bentall One for dinner with some of my girls and their men! Definitely keeping it simple this year but I'm pretty stoked!! All I'm looking for this year is a low key, low maintenance birthday.. Winter is usually my starving season and I'm sure my girl friends would love the freedom to choose what they'd like to eat! and did i mention they'll be getting a great bang for their buck?! It just makes the whole experience much more enjoyable for everyone. I know I like to be extravagant sometimes but I think this will turn out to be better than I could ever hope for... I want everyone to have as much fun as me and I definitely don't want them to resent the fact that they spent extra money on a meal they hated, or worse, spent money on a meal that left them hungry!! eww.. who wants that? I know the guys would definitely hate me for it if I let that happen hahaha..
now I just have to order the cake <3
