Love Letter

Dear Best Friend:

I hope you know how happy I am that you found your one true love. And I hope you know that I'm even happier that he reciprocates those same feelings for you. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful ending to your search and I'm so happy that it's him, because I know he'll take great care of you. I know he will love and support you for all that you are and do, and for that knowledge alone, I'm grateful to him as well. I wish you both the best, of course. Enjoy your engagement, anticipate the day, and live out your dreams together forever.

I love you, Queen Bea!

Love always,
em.

They Nailed It

I experienced my first devastating beauty break up a few years back when my #1 guy moved to San Diego. He was perfect. Very attentive to my needs and always creative and exciting to hold my interest. Sad to say, I was never able to replace him and found myself unable to fully commit to another man like him. After years of searching, I decided to expand my horizons to the ever so delicate final touch of a female. That is to say, I met the girls at Glam Nail Studio.

Glam Nail Studio started as a mobile nail bar in 2005, but due to popular demand, Keiko, the founder and owner of the luxe nail salon has opened a permanent location in Richmond, BC. I originally went into Glam Nails for a single fix and was extremely pleased with their professional and CLEAN services. I loved it so much that I went back the next week to get my nails filled and designed. (Pics Coming Soon) Glam Nails is known for their beautiful Japanese nail art and can create virtually any look you can imagine! Did I mention their nail bar is absolutely gorgeous? The simple decor and colour scheme screams modern girlyness. I love it enough to recommend them to anyone who is willing to listen! Starting at $70+ CDN they cost more than your average gel nails but they're so beautiful, you'll want to try them at least once!!

Check out their samples here @ http://www.glamnailstudio.com/ and call them today for your unforgettable nail experience! You won't be disappointed!

Home Remedy: Baking Soda Face Mask

So lately my skin has been looking extremely dull and I've been craving a facial, or at the bare minimum, one of those mud masks in a jar. Being the lazy girl I am, I have yet to book an appointment at the spa or even go to the local store to pick up a jar of seaweed. In any case, I've been hearing all about this low budget skin care method and after reading some reviews on it I decided that now would probably be the best time to try it out. Why? My skin is completely stressed out from a poor diet, lack of sleep, and lack of care overall. I haven't been washing my make up off religiously lately simply because I've been passing out while I've been up all night working on projects and studying for my midterms this week.

Many girls claim that this gently exfoliates your skin, leaving it feeling extremely soft and smooth. Some even say that it takes care of the blackheads and build up from make up as well. I have it on right now and so far, it stings. I can feel it hardening and to be honest I really can't wait to take it off and check out the results.

If you're wanting to give it a shot, the ingredients are simple. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and a little bit of water (just enough to make a paste). Spread all over the face (avoiding the eyes because it does burn!) and wait for about 15 minutes before washing it off. Doing this once a week should help. Everyone's skin type is different however, so if it isn't right for you, don't force it!

reMix my Drink

so I guess it would be a good time to announce that as of the 7th of this month, I'm a licensed bartender. Yes, I was previously mixing and serving without a license but I don't think it's actually required to do so, is it? :) Anyway, I picked up a shaker set from Fine Art, and I'm super eager to start remixing their recipes. :) My boyfriend's birthday is coming up so I think I'll start there! I just hope he likes it. <3
